Nagpur: The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has started the process of issuing permission for Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandals and to further ease the trouble and for faster clearance, the system is online.
Last year, the civic body had unveiled the My Nagpur App through which the mandals could register for seeking permission for the 10- day festival. The mandals that had applied last year should enter their mobile number and enter OTP that will help in avoiding trouble of mentioning required details. Similarly, NMC has appealed to Ganeshotsav Mandals to opt for an environment friendly festival.

Citizens should go for clay idols of Lord Ganesh and shun PoP idols and in case they come across latter ones, the NMC should be informed about the same, said Municipal Commissioner Dr Abhijeet Chaudhari.
The mandals registering for the first time should log onto https://nmcnagpur.gov.in/RTS/ws/user/login.do and click on register their name and surname, email ID, mobile no and enter OTP. People can also register on My Nagpur App. After that the persons seeking permission should got to nmcnagpur.gov.in website and click on Services and select Right to Services and Web Link and enter mobile number. After entering the OTP a dashboard will open and on that one should click on Ganesh Mandal permission.
The conditions listed for permission should be agreed and after entering all the data the same would be submitted. Further, the mandals should also enter details as to the requirement of NoC from the Fire Brigade, the place of celebration of the 10-day festival, and also attach the affidavit. The Mandals can also track the status of application on the dashboard.
