Continuing its crackdown on defaulters of Property Tax the Laxmi Nagar Zone of NMC on Monday seized three properties including two plots worth Rs 1.5 crore and an ATM. The two plots were seized for recovery of Rs 6.98 lakh pending Property Tax dues and the ATM for recovery of Rs 5.89 lakh tax dues.
The squad of Laxmi Nagar Zone seized the two plots in Chinchbhavan area belonging to Ravindra Jalan towards non-payment of Property Tax to the tune of Rs 6.89 lakh of his two properties – House No. 1839+841.A/52 and House No. 1839+1841/A/53. The worth of the two seized plots is Rs 1.5 crore.
Similarly, the NMC squad seized a shop housing the ATM of Central Bank of India in Ramdaspeth. The shop belonged to Sheshrao Nivrutti Bhagat. The ATM was seized following non-payment of Property Tax of Rs 5.89 lakh by Bhagat towards House No. 478/S/5, Crystal Plaza, Lendra Park Central Bazaar Road, Ramdaspeth.
The seized properties will be auctioned by NMC and the pending dues of Property Tax recovered from the amount.
The action was taken under the directives of Laxmi Nagar Zone Assistant Commissioner Ganesh Rathod.
