Acting tough against the property tax defaulters, the NMC’s administration in Dharampeth zone on Monday confiscated 102 plots in Jayesh Cooperative Housing Society in Dabha area.
The properties which owed the total outstanding tax of Rs 15,10,875, have been seized under section 128 of NMC act.
The property owners have been publically intimated to pay the taxes within seven days, failing which the NMC administration would proceed to register these properties in its name through district collector’s office. Once the registration is done, NMC would auction plots.
The NMC’s action was jointly carried out under the directives of assistant commissioner, Dharampeth zone Rajesh Karade by the tax inspector Sirsam, Rathore, Mawale, Manoj Joshi, Mehulia, Raju Malikar, Patil, Saini and others.
