NMC, SECR sign MoU to maintain cleanliness at Itwari Rly Station

Nagpur: South East Central Railway (SECR) and Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC), on the auspices of World Environment Day, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to maintain cleanliness at Itwari Railway Station and its premises. The MoU was signed at NMC’s Raje Raghoji Bhonsale Nagarbhavan (Town Hall) in Mahal in presence of Mayor Pravin Datke and SECR DRM Amitkumar Agrawal. Senior Divisional Engineer (Coordination) Y H Rathod and Additional Municipal Commissioner Jayant Dandegaonkar signed the pact on behalf of SECR and NMC respectively. The agreement includes lifting and disposing of accumulated garbage and initiating action against people defecating openly near railway tracks.

At the outset, the DRM Agrawal welcomed the Mayor by offering a bouquet while other dignitaries were welcomed with tulsi saplings. Others prominently present include Chairman of Education Committee Gopal Bohre, Gandhibagh Zone Assistant Commissioner Ashok Patil, Education Officer Meena Gupta, Medical Officer (Sanitation) Dr Pradeep Dasarwar, Garden Superintendent Sudhir Matey, Zonal Health Officer Tembhekar and others.
