NMC recovers tax using coercive measures through warrant

Nagpur: Unable to make outstanding tax recovery from citizens of NMC Gandhibagh Zone No. 6, here in the city, the NMC tax recovery department took coercive measures through recovery warrant to recover outstanding tax dues on Sept 2.

As a result, the NMC seized the properties of tax defaulters by putting its official seal on their properties. They include 1) Goyanka Diamond & Jewellers Ltd, House No,14, Ward No. 30, Gandhibagh, owned Nitin Nandlal Goyanka (defaulter of Rs 1,11,352 property tax); 2) Block No. 15, Sut Market, House No. 27/14, Ward No. 30 (1) Gandhibagh, owned by Shyamsunder Komalchand Chawla (defaulter of Rs 6,893 tax); 3) House No.548/ U-2, Ward No. 17, owned by Meenakshi Chandrayan (defaulter of Rs 64,310 tax); 4) House No. 28/172/1, Ward No. 30, Handloom Market, Gandhibagh (default of Rs 16,355 tax); 5) House No.132, Ward 30, Tin-nal Chowk, Gandhibagh owned by Kundanlal Bandawar (default of Rs 17,551 tax); 6) House No. 71, Ward No. 30, Gandhibagh, Wardhaman Jain (Rs 22,156); 7) House no. 143, Ward No. 30 owned by Manohar Vasudeo Motghare (Rs 59,441).

Those who participated in the recovery drive under the guidance of Gandhibagh Zone No. 6 Asstt NMC commissioner Milind Meshram included A B Mogarkar, A S Horey, Naresh Kelzarkar, J P Kale, Wadive and Nihal Baisare, informed a press note.
