Affected areas to get low pressure water supply
Nagpur: Nagpur Municipal Corporation and Orange City Water (OCW) have planned to carry out maintenance works at Pench III water treatment plant (WTP), in a bid to further strengthen treatment process at its WTP, on October 1, 2015.
This maintenance work would start at 10 am and would require 6 hours till 4 pm. As an aftereffect the citizens residing in West and Central Nagpur will receive water with low & restricted pressure on October 1.
Pench -III WTP at Gorewada supplies almost 120 MLD water, especially to West and Central parts of Nagpur.
Following works are planned to be taken up:
- At P-II WTP Interconnection of existing 1200mm inlet line with the newly laid 1100mm line from BPT
- Filter Bed No. 8 inlet gate repairing
- Inside Pump house Motor radiator common cooling line Pressure regulating valve(PRV) replacement
- Common discharge line bypass line (80mm) leakage repair
Areas to remain affected due to shut down are:

Futala line: Civil Lines, Damodar Colony, Mariyam Nagar, area nearby VCA stadium, Vidhan Bhavan
Laxmi Nagar Zone : Abhyankar Nagar, Laxmi Nagar, Bajaj Nagar, Vasant Nagar, Rahate Colny(Part), Aath Rasta Square Area, East Surendra Nagar, Tatya Tope Nagar, Pratap Nagar, Urvella Colony, SE railway Colony, NIT Layout, Atrey Layout Dhangarpura Slum, Friends Colony, RPTS Road, Dongre layout, Madhav nagar,
