NMC-OCW lodges police complaint against Ravi Dolas for manhandling Satranjipura OCW Zonal Head

Tehsil police registered offence in this regard against Dolas

In yet another incident of manhandling and misbehaviour by public representative, Shanti Nagar prabhag Corporator Ravi Dolas allegedly manhandled Orange City Water (OCW)’s Satranjipura Zonal Head Pradeep Gurwe along with abusive language at NMC-OCW’s Satranjipura zone office located at Maskasaath on Tuesday afternoon.

Initiating a stern action in this regard OCW has lodged a police complaint against Ravi Dolas at Tehsil Police station under relevant sections for manhandling and using abusive language against OCW official when he was delivering his responsibilities during duty hours.

It was learnt that NMC-OCW recently disconnected an illegal direct tapping approaching towards Karuna Nagar area in Shanti Nagar prabhag.

Agitated over disconnection of illegal direct tapping Ravi Dolas tried to create ruckus as well as pressurised NMC-OCW officials for reconnecting of direct tapping.

Meanwhile, NMC-OCW officials also appointed a dedicated O&M team at Karuna Nagar to monitor and ensure sufficient water supply with help of its bulk water management experts. However Ravi Dolas still insisted on continuing with illegal direct tapping

On Tuesday (July 26, 2016) during office hours, Ravi Dolas barged into Satranjipura zone office, tried to ransack office furniture and even pelted chair in the cabin of Zonal Head. He also pelted water bottles in the chamber.

He further manhandled the zonal head and used abusive language against him for almost an hour.

Tehsil Police have registered an offence under relevant sections against Ravi Dolas in this regard. It is also learnt that Ravi Dolas has warned of dire consequences to OCW officials if they enter in Shanti Nagar area.

It must be mentioned, earlier too OCW Tanker Managers, Project Managers, Engineer were manhandled at various times by Ravi Dolas on various occasions. In those cases also OCW had lodged complaints against Dolas.
