Nagpur:
The Standing Committee of Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has proposed to construct 10×10 sq ft shops along the main roads where the space is left vacant while widening of the roads. The 10×10 sq ft shops, if constructed, would be rented out for bank ATMs at the rate of Rs 30,000-40,000 per month and thus increase the kitty of the local body. The Committee has directed the Estate Department to identify around 25 main roads in various areas where the 10×10 shops could be constructed along the roads and rented out to banks for ATMs.

Kavi Suresh Bhat Sabhagruh:
In another move, the Standing Committee has demanded Rs 50 crore assistance from Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis for the ongoing construction of Kavi Suresh Bhat Memorial Sabhagruh being built near Dr Hedgewar Smruti Bhavan in Reshimbagh. The Chief Minister reportedly accepted the demand and approved the assistance. The construction of the hall is likely to be completed in December this year.
