Nagpur: Under much acclaimed national programme, ‘Swachha Bharat Abhiyan’ the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) Mayor and NMC Commissioner offered their ‘shramdaan’ for cleansing the Gandhi Sagar lake in Shukkarwari area in the city. They were joined by several citizens and NMC officials in the task.
It may be mentioned that prior to this, the NMC officials and corporators as well as staff members with public participation had cleansed the Ambazari lake as first phase of the drive.
The Gandhi Sagar lake cleansing drive included the participation of ex-corporator Manoj Sable, NMC secretary Harish Dubey, Asstt Commissioner Mahesh Dhamecha, other NMC officials like Rahul Jaydeo, Madan Gadge, Sanjay Gaikwad, Rahul Warke, Sanjay Jaiswal, Satish Neral, D D Jambhulkar, Sudhir Mate, Vijay Bagal, F S Uke, D M Umredkar, Arun Mogarkar, and several officials from NMC Dhantoli Zone and Gandhibagh Zone.
