Nagpur: In a move to improve citizen grievance redressal, the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has introduced a new WhatsApp facility that allows residents to directly send complaints to the Municipal Commissioner.
With this initiative, citizens can now report civic issues such as water problems, sanitation concerns, road damage, and other municipal grievances simply by sending messages on WhatsApp. The complaints will be received directly at the Commissioner’s office, ensuring faster response and better monitoring of civic issues across the city.
The new system aims to make the complaint process more accessible and transparent, eliminating the need for citizens to visit offices or go through lengthy procedures. Officials believe this step will help strengthen communication between residents and the administration while improving overall service delivery in Nagpur.
This initiative is part of NMC’s broader push towards digital governance and citizen-friendly services, making it easier for people to raise concerns and get quicker resolutions.
