Nine cops honoured with DGP insignia on Maharashtra Day

Nagpur: The Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule honoured nine police personnel with the Director General (DG) insignia for their commendable service at the 58th Maharashtra Day celebration. Sever other police personnel attached to Control Room under CRISP (Criminal Intensive Surveillance Project) were also honoured with certificates by the minister.

Those honoured with DGP insignia include Police Inspector Vaibhavkumar Jadhav, API Vishal Mane, Radio Mechanic Sadanand Thote, ASIs Sandeep Sharma, Avinash Akkawar, Mukesh Mishra, Police Constables Prakash Wankhede, Manoj Joshi and Ramchandra Shastrakar.

The seven police personnel attached to Control Room under CRISP (Criminal Intensive Surveillance Project) who were honoured with commendable certificates include ACP Sanjiv Kamble, PSI Satish Yadav, PSI Diwakar Halami, Police Sepoys Manik Dahipade, Amol Hiwrale, Gaurav Bhujade and Pawan Sirsath.

All the 16 police personnel were honoured at the main function of Maharashtra Day celebration held at Kasturchand Park. At the outset, the Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule hoisted the national flag and took salute from the marching contingents of police force.

Other dignitaries present on the occasion include Zilla Parishad President Nisha Savarkar, MLA Dr Milind Mane, Divisional Commissioner Anoop Kumar, Police Commissioner Dr K Venkatesham, District Collector Ashwin Mudgal, DSP Shailesh Balkawde, freedom fighters, judges, citizens, and other prominent personalities.
