Nephew murders own uncle on Pola

Nagpur: When the entire city was celebrating Pola, a young man with evil intentions killed his own uncle with a hammer in Panchpaoli area over a long pending property dispute on September 2, 2016.

According to police sources, the accused nephew identified as Ramesh Shriram Kumbare aged 26 years angered over a long pending property dispute hit his uncle identified as Arun Devnath Kumbhare aged 52 years and a resident of Plot no 816, Near Mange Guruji School, Lashkaribagh, Panchpaoli area with a hammer killing him on the spot.

The cops of Panchpaoli Police Station arrested the accused nephew Ramesh Kumbhare and after registering a case of murder against the accused is slated to present him in the court.

According to police sources, there was a long pending dispute between the accused Ramesh Kumbhare and deceased Arun Kumbhare over the division of ancestral property.

When things were not heading in the way that the nephew wanted, he picked up an iron hammer and hit the uncle at around 7:30 pm on September 2, 2016.  Arun Kumbhare died on the spot.

On receipt of information, Police Sub Inspector V D Bopte of Panchpaoli Police Station and his staff rushed to the spot and after completing the formalities dispatched the dead body to Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Hospital (Mayo) for post mortem.

The accused was nabbed late in the night.

On the basis of the complaint lodged by the wife of the deceased Saraswati Arun Kumbhare aged 43 years, PSI Bopte of Panchpaoli Police Station registered a case of murder under Section 302 of Indian Penal Code and is investigating further. The cops opine that the involvement of others in this crime cannot be ruled out.
