Neighbours attacked with stones and bricks

Nagpur: Casual enquiry about a missing cycle led to an argument. This argument assumed violent proportions and the neighbours attacked the person who made the enquiry with stones and bricks on February 11, 2015.

The attackers are said to be from the same family. On the basis of the complaint lodged by the injured victims identifies as Vikrant Gupta and Balram Gupta, a case is registered against the accused identified as Shivkumar Tiwari aged 57 years, Rinku alias Kuldeep Tiwari aged 36 years, Kokila Tiwari and Prince Tiwari.

According to police sources, Balram Gupta a resident of Pardesi Telipura could not locate his cycle since it was missing from its usual place. He started making enquiries about his cycle to Kokila Tiwari. However, the neighbours got irked and the accused started abusing the victim and beat-up the victim Balram Gupta. Vikrant Gupta who was in the house of the victim went out to mediate and get the quarrel settled. However, the accused beat-him up too. The accused went on to hurl stones and bricks on the victim injuring them grieviously. The injured were sent to Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital for treatment.

On receipt of the information, Assistant Police Inspector Kendre of Ganeshpeth Police Station and his staff reached the spot and arrested the two accused identified as SHiv kumar Tiwari and his son Rinku alias Kuldeep Tiwari.
