A 9-year-old girl was molested by her neighbour on Saturday night in Sonegaon area. The victim went to visit her landlord’s house on ground floor at Sonegaon on Saturday night around 8.45 pm. The accused Narrated, who lives in the neighborhood, came to his landlord’s house. He took the little girl to his room and tried to outrage her modesty with his indecent gestures. The girl left the house and narrated the incident to her parents on Sunday.
On the basis of the complaint lodged by victim’s parents, Sonegaon police have registered an offence under Sections 354 (a) read with sub sections 8 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act 2012 and commenced their investigation.
