Nagpur: The foundation for building a strong, capable and civilized nation is a strong youth generation, which is physically, mentally and spiritually thoughtful and competent. But the collective development of the youth of the country requires a suitable environment for the overall development of their strong will, creativity, talent as well as internal and external aspects. Building its foundation is the first objective of Abhyudaya Youth Club.
At present, deprived of this environment, various artists from the remote areas of the country are still living a struggling life, alienated from the mainstream, unaware of their potential.
Abhyudaya Youth Club has been established by Ekal Abhiyaan with the aim of giving proper opportunity to these talents by organizing sports competitions. Through this, a plan has been prepared for organizing sports competitions at various levels. Through this, participants will have an opportunity at an independent national level, where they can develop their new skills and ideas. On the basis of this detailed action plan, the main concept of Abhyudaya Youth Club is that talented people should glorify the country by winning medals in Olympic competitions at the international level.
For the systematic implementation of this plan, we want to establish every school in the society as a nursery of athletes, with a single school organizational structure as the base. At the conclusion of the Azaadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, EkalAbhiyan activists were busy brainstorming and formulating an action plan to make the tricolor campaign a success by going door-to-door across the country. Meanwhile, if the ‘Har GharTiranga’ campaign can be used as a medium to inculcate the sense of patriotism among the people of the entire country, then why not raise the honor of the tricolor in the world of sports at the international level.
For that, a nation-wide campaign of ‘Gharoghari PratibhaShodh Abhiyan’ should be implemented to instill the belief that ‘Khelel Bharat Tar Bahrel Bharat’ in the people of India. To give concrete shape to the “Groghari Pratibha Abhiyan”, a system of single village organization spread over 4 lakh villages in India was made a medium. Activists of JagranShiksha mobilized rural youth to find talent door-to-door using a single campaign. For this, it was decided to establish a youth organization called “Abhyudaya Youth Club” and organize a sports festival in one lakh villages of India under the banner of this organization. In this sports festival, priority was given to Indian sports which do not require special practice and ancillary materials, as follows.
1. Athletics – 100m, 200m, 400m, sprint and long jump and high jump for boys/girls under 16 years.
2. Sports: i) Wrestling – Boys only (Weight) – 45 kg, 48 kg, 51 kg, and 55 kg ii) Kabaddi – Kabaddi – Kabaddi for boy/girl players.
3. Yoga: For Acharya/Acharyas.
One in a million : Athletes who stand first in the village level sports festival get an opportunity to play in the sports festival organized at the development group level. First rankers at that level will get an opportunity to play in the district level sports festival, state level first placers and then district level first placers will get a chance to play in the national level sports festival.
The feature of this selection process was that 1 lakh players participated in each tournament across the country, out of which one player was selected at the national level, a total of 36 players could be formed from the various tournaments, on this basis it can be said that each of our national level players is one in a million.
