Nagpur: Dhananjay Wankhede, Information Officer and Rajesh Pandey had a narrow escape as they dodged a fatal accident just by a few inches when a tree fell on the car they were sitting in near Tirpude College. The incident disturbed the traffic in the area for several hours.
As informed by the witnesses, the tree had become old and reached to a wobbly condition. The torrential rains on Monday night, weakened its root resulting in its uprooting.
It is to be mentioned here that a man lost his life in a similar accident near Alankar Cinema Hall last year.

Wankhede, was driving to pick up his children from school when the accident happened. As the incident happened near Sadar police station, it took only moments for police to reach the spot. It was a fortunate thing that there eas no loss of life.
