Nagpur: In a major action, Nandanvan police succeeded in nabbing two absconding brothers – one of whom was booked under Maharashtra Prevention of Dangerous Activities Act (MPDA) and the other who was wanted in a murdfer case. The accused two brothers, who were arrested from Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh, have been identified as Jeetu Sukhdev Jadhav and Rakesh Sukhdev Jadhav.

According to details, a series of offences including murder, extortion, robbery were registered against Jeetu Jadhav at Nandanvan Police Station. Subsequently, a proposal was forwarded to Commissioner of Police for booking Jeetu Jadhav under Maharashtra Prevention of Dangerous Activities Act (MPDA). However, the goon got the hint of the impending action and went absconding. Jeetu dodged police and went to Aradhana Nagar, Bhopal where his brother Rakesh Jadhav was staying. Rakesh too was wanted in a Lakadganj murder case but was absconding since the past three years. At that time, Nandanvan cops were not sure of whereabouts of Jeetu Jadhav. Armed with the precise information, a team of policemen, led by PSI S T Ambure, embarked on a mission to capture the elusive criminal. After reaching Bhopal and with the help of local police, the team of Nandanvan cops netted Jeetu Jadhav in the dead of night operation. Similarly, in a raid in the wee hours of the same day, the wanted murder accused Rakesh Jadhav too was captured.
