Nagpur: Ace boxer Alfiya Pathan of Nagpur bagged a silver medal in the Asian Boxing Championships in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia on Thursday.
She won the silver in the 80 kg category. She lost the hard-fought final against Kazakhstan’s Dina Islambekova in her lone bout of the championships. Previously, Alfiya achieved major success as an Asian Junior Champion (2019, 2022) and secured a silver in the Asian U-22 Boxing Championships 2024.
