Nagpur: The galloping maximum temperature raised discomfort for Nagpurians on Tuesday as the city witnessed the highest maximum temperature of the season once again with 41.2 degrees Celsius. Despite high mercury, traffic cops were on duty and controlled traffic in many areas of the city. In the past 3-4 days, cloudy weather covered the city skies, which reduced the day temperature. But on Tuesday, the weather was clear and dry due to which the maximum temperature touched the highest mark of the season thus far.

India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted that maximum and minimum temperatures both would remain on higher side in coming days due to clear sky and dry weather. Heat waves and warm nights will also prevail in the next week which will increase discomfort among people during night time also.

On Tuesday, Bramhapuri recorded the highest maximum temperature in Vidarbha with 42.3 degrees Celsius. Other parts of Vidarbha like, Akola (41.8 degrees Celsius), Chandrapur (41.2 degrees Celsius), Wardha (41.5 degrees Celsius), Washim (41.4 degrees Celsius), and Yavatmal (41.2 degrees Celsius) recorded the maximum temperature above 41 degrees mark.
