Nagpur: Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU) has declared 19 results of summer examinations in record time. Examinations started on June 8, 2022 and within 22 days, the results of 19 examinations of the first semester are out.
Dr Praful Sable, Director of Board of Examinations and Evaluation said, “Our team is taking a lot of efforts. This time examinations have Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) but the mode of examination is offline. Comparatively, we have less pressure of manpower as the examinations are being mostly monitored by colleges. We have utilised that time for our results.”
This is for the first time that University conducted summer examinations due to the coronavirus pandemic for two years. Earlier, University did conduct online examinations but not offline in the past two years. University is conducting an experiment of holding MCQ-based offline examinations which is new. This time examination is being held at respective colleges as Home Centres.
“In a way, we could reduce our load but we had to focus on the centres. Our Flying Squads are daily on their toes. I personally visit centres to check whether it is running well or not. There are some incidents where students carried mobile phones which we had to seize. Against this backdrop we are bringing out the results in record time,” said Dr Sable.
