Nagpur science topper Manogya Ranjan scores 95.8%, wants to be a Cardiac Surgeon

The city topper of Montfort School scored 95.8% to become the city topper in Science Stream wants to become a Doctor and specialize in Cardiac Surgery.

While speaking to Nagpur Today, Manogya Ranjan said that she gives all her credit of her success to the parents, all her teachers and her Principal. She claimed that it was the Principal of Montfort School who had recognized that she had the mettle to succeed and top in the exams so had continuously encouraged her a lot.

While speaking about her study pattern, she said that she preferred to study in the morning since her concentration is at its peak. She said that while getting the concepts clear in some subjects is important, some subjects need to be learnt and by-hearted. One needs to grasp and understand certain subjects and one can easily apply the theories while doing the numericals.

She agreed that the course for XIth and XIIth are vast yet if one does regular studies right from the first day, it is achievable. She said that attending the class regularly, paying attention to what is taught in the school by the teachers and self study will certainly help one to succeed in exams.

She said that both the CBSE and State Board are both good in their own way and it takes the students to succeed.

She claimed that she did go to tuition-classes only for Chemistry subject since she found the subject a bit difficult. But for all the other subjects she relied on her own self study. She said that Montfort School has one of the best teachers and had imparted the best education possible.

While speaking about being active in social media, she said that one must be active but not spend all one’s time in whatsapp and facebook.

She claimed that her stress busters were her Mother who made her laugh, her sister who was her shock-absorber and her hobby of Bharatnatyam.

While speaking of her goals, she said that she will first pursue her MBBS and later specialize in Cardiac Surgery.
