Maharashtra Government has carried out the much awaited major reshuffle in the IPS cadre across the State with Nagpur Rural Superintendent of Police (SP) Dr Manoj Kumar Sharma being transferred to Kolhapur on the same post. Aarti Singh will replace Dr Sharma as SP of Nagpur Rural Police. Another IPS officer Avinash Kumar will be Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Nagpur.
The most talked about post of Mumbai Police Commissioner has been bestowed on Rakesh Maria, presently Chief of Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) Mumbai.
Dr Manoj Kumar Sharma has long stint as SP of Nagpur Rural Police with more than three years at the helm. His transfer was due anytime. His tenure has the mixed bag of success and failures as well.
Other transfers from Nagpur City and Nagpur Rural in non-IPS cadre are: G M Sakharkar, ACP Crime Branch, Nagpur City has been shifted to Amravati, Sunil Jayaswal, ACP Crime-1, Nagpur City has been made DySP Warora, Chandrapur, B D Paunikar, ACP Nagpur City will be DySP, Achalpur, Amravati, Vasant Shirbhate, DySP, Sub-Division, Nagpur Rural Police, has been transferred as Additional SP, ACB, and Santosh Wankhede, DySP Kamptee has been made Sub-Divisional Police Officer Wardha. Yavatmal’s DySP Vasant Aade will be ACP in Nagpur City while Aurangabad’s Ramesh Kantewar has been made Kamptee DySP.
OTHER IPS TRANSFERS:
Dr Suresh Mekla will be the new Commissioner of Police of Amravati. Other transfers of top officials include Vijay Kamble will be the new CP of Thane, K L Prasad, CP of Navi Mumbai, Rajendra Singh CP of Aurangabad. M M Ranade has been posted as SP Solapur, Rajesh Pradhan is the new SP of Thane Rural, P V Deshpande is DCP Pune, , S V Mohite SP Nashik Rural, K M Prasanna DCP Mumbai, Akhilesh Singh SP Dhule, Paramjit Dahiya SP Nanded, Jyotipriya Singh SP Jalna, Sanjay Shinde SP Ratnagiri, M Ramkumar SP Nandurbar, P V Holkar DCP Mumbai, Pravin Padval DCP Thane and N D Reddy SP Beed.
