Nagpur: The Superintendent of Police (SP), Nagpur Rural, Shailesh Balkawde has appealed to people not to believe rumours being circulated in social media about ‘gang of burglars active in some rural parts of the district.’
The Superintendent of Police made the appeal as rumours were floating on various social media platforms about “gang of burglars from outside are active,” “this gang is roaming from village to village and indulging in house-breakings,” “people should not sleep and catch the burglars.” Terming the messages as baseless rumours, Balkawde has appealed people not to fall prey to the tactics of anti-social elements. “No such gang or gangs of burglars have been noticed in any of the villages. Police are patrolling every village.
There is no need to panic. If a suspicious person is spotted, people should immediately inform the nearest police station and desist from taking law into their hands.
