Celebrating the International Women’s Day in true sense of the day, Nagpur Rural Police set an healthy trend by handing over responsibility of all police stations in the district to women police officials and lower run personnel. The women cops carried out their duties as “Thanedars” (In charges) of police stations across the district. Since not a single police station in Nagpur Rural area has woman Police Inspector or Assistant Police Inspector, the women police officials and senior police personnel were provided an equal opportunity to handle the work of police stations as “Thanedar.”
This way, the Nagpur Rural Police celebrated the International Women’s Day in a unique way under the able guidance of Superintendent of Police Dr Arti Singh. “Women should create their own place in society on the basis of self-sufficiency and daring and compete with male counterparts,” exhorted Dr Arti Singh.
