Nagpur: The Covid-19 recovery rate in Nagpur district has increased after a gap of almost one month. Around one month ago the rate was reduced to 98.14% as a spike in single-day cases was witnessed. But, now the number of recovered persons too has increased. On Wednesday, it rose to 151 that led to a rise in recovery rate to 98.21%.
Nagpur district has reported 218 single-day cases with Nagpur rural reporting 54 cases and 164 in the city. This has taken the cumulative tally of positive cases to 5,81,744. District has registered a good number of COVID-19 recovery of 151. This has taken the cumulative recovery to 5,70,076. Active cases continued to increase. On Wednesday the active cases increased to 1,329.
The district registered a rise in testing as it reported 2,647 testing on Wednesday. Nagpur rural reported 833 testing and the city’s count stood at 1,814 taking the cumulative testing to 57,05,422.
The number of persons taking treatment in various hospitals further increased to 51. Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) has 15 patients while Meditrina, Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Hospital (IGGMCH), Wockhardt, Criticare, Aureus, Sunflower have two patients each; Kingsway Hospital has 11 patients, Railway Hospital, Lata Mangeshkar Hospital, Dande Hospital have three each while four patients have been admitted to All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Nagpur.
