Nagpur: As part of the ongoing upgradation of Nagpur Railway Station under the Amrit Bharat programme, platform no. 5 will remain closed for 52 days, starting September 8. The closure has been planned to facilitate the construction of a concourse spanning from platform no. 8 to platform no. 1. Foundation work for this concourse will be taken up during the block period, with major activity scheduled on October 29.
Key arrangements for train operations
- Shifting of Platforms:
- To Platform 7: Train Nos. 22126/22125 Amritsar–Nagpur–Amritsar AC Express, 11201 Nagpur–Shahdol Express, 20911/20912 Indore–Nagpur–Indore Express.
- To Platform 4: MEMU services 61120, 61117, 61118, 61119 (Amla–Nagpur–Amla) and 61109, 61110 (Nagpur–Wardha–Nagpur).
- To Platforms 1, 3 & 6: Vande Bharat Express services – Pune (PF-1), Jaipur (PF-3), Ahmedabad, Howrah & Secunderabad (PF-6).
- Short-Termination/Origination:
- Train No. 0114 Madgaon–Nagpur Express will be short-terminated at Ajni (for 15 trips).
- Train No. 0113 Nagpur–Madgaon Express will short-originate from Ajni (for 15 trips).
- Regulation of MEMU Trains:
- Train Nos. 61120, 61117, 61118, and 61119 will face delays of 10–20 minutes due to operational constraints.
