
Nagpur: In recognition of outstanding service and dedication within the Maharashtra Police, several officers have been selected for the prestigious Director General’s (DG) Insignia for the year 2025. Among those honoured are Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Niketan Kadam, DCP Lohit Matani, and Police Inspector Shubhangi Deshmukh, all of whom are currently serving in Nagpur. Their commendable contributions to policing and public service have earned them this distinguished recognition.
The DG’s Insignia is awarded based on various Government Resolutions issued by the Home Department of the Maharashtra Government. It acknowledges excellence in service, acts of bravery, and unwavering commitment to duty. This year’s list includes officers and personnel from multiple ranks and categories, reflecting the department’s effort to recognise merit across the force. The awardees will be presented with the official insignia along with a citation by the Director General of Police.
Sadanand Date, Director General of Police, extended his congratulations to all the recipients. He lauded their dedication and professionalism, and conveyed his best wishes for their continued service to the state.
