
Nagpur: In the disturbing murder case of minor Atharv Nanore, sources have indicated that three suspects have been detained by city police. However, senior Nagpur Police officials have not yet officially confirmed these detentions.
Atharv Nanore, a 14-year-old boy, had gone missing during a local procession in the Gittikhadan area, raising immediate concern among his family and the local community. A missing complaint was filed soon after, and police began an extensive search operation.
The situation turned tragic when Atharv’s body was later discovered in the Kalmeshwar jurisdiction on the outskirts of Nagpur. The body reportedly bore injury marks, pointing towards a brutal murder and ruling out accidental death.
Following the discovery, teams from Gittikhadan Police Station and the Crime Branch intensified their investigation. CCTV footage, local intelligence, and technical tracking were used to trace possible suspects and reconstruct Atharv’s last movements.
According to sources, a joint team of the DB squad and Crime Branch has taken three individuals into custody for questioning in connection with the case. These detentions are said to be part of an ongoing investigation aimed at uncovering the motive and sequence of events leading to the murder.
However, police officials have maintained silence on the matter so far, stating that details will only be shared after proper verification and procedural formalities.
The brutal killing of the minor has triggered anger and concern across Nagpur, with residents demanding swift justice. Authorities have assured that all angles are being thoroughly investigated and that strict action will be taken against those found guilty once facts are officially established.
