Nagpur Municipal Corporation’s e-Governance system adjudged best at Skoch Summit

 The 37th Skoch Summit is underway at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. It is a two-day event, held on 19th and 20th September 2014. Nagpur Municipal Corporation’s e-governance system has been adjudged best and Municipal Commissioner Shyam Wardhane has been invited as Distinguished Panelist in Power Panel discussion on Municipal Governance and Finances.

The power panel includes distinguished members like Dr May Ramchandran, Skoch Foundation, Shrikant Vishwanathan Research and Capacity Building Janagrah, S N Mishra, Principal Secretary, City development section, Shyam Wardhane, municipal commissioner Nagpur and Milind Torwane municipal commissioner, Surat.

As per the programme, Shyam Wardhane participated in the discussion on September 19 and guided the meeting. Wardhane was accompanied by city engineer, Sanjay Gaikwad.

Skoch Foundation has adjudged Nagpur Municipal Corporation’s 2 projects 1) Municipal e-Governance in Nagpur Municipal Corporation 2) Digital Inclusion for Smart Governance in Nagpur Municipal Corporation as best on all India basis.

Nagpur Municipal Corporation will receive awards for this during the summit, says Nagpur Municipal Corporation press release.
