Nagpur heat touches 10-year high at 45.6 degrees Celsius

Nagpur: Maharashtra’s Vidarbha region today continued to reel under intense heat with Chandrapur recording the highest temperature for the region at 46.8 degrees Celsius and Nagpur touching a ten-year high of 45.6 degrees Celsius, meteorological department officials said.

Yavatmal, at 44.5 degrees Celsius today, also saw its highest temperature in ten years, the officials of the Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) here added.

“Brahmapuri in Chandrapur district recorded temperature at 46 degrees Celsius and Wardha recorded 45. Akola, Amravati and Gadchiroli had temperatures of 44 degrees Celsius. Buldhana was at 40 degrees Celsius,” the officials said.
