NAGPUR: Amid growing resentment among corporators and residents over handling of different issues by the administration of Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC), Union Minister and MP from Nagpur Nitin Gadkari has called a meeting of the NMC on 12 August to discuss a number of issues pertaining to the city’s development.

The meeting of NMC’s office-bearers and officials would also be attended by Nagpur’s Mayor Nanda Jichkar and guardian minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule.

A letter informing about the meeting to NMC Commissioner Virendra Singh was issued by Gadkari’s personal assistant Sudhir Deulgaonkar on Tuesday.

The issues likely to be discussed in the meeting include handing over of layouts from NMC to NIT, door-to-door garbage collection, review of city bus services, widening of Kelibagh Road, sports complex on Subhash Road, proposed amphitheatre at Ambazari and art gallery. Gadkari would also review water-logging problem of the city.
