
Nagpur: In a shocking incident, a bag containing gold jewellery and cash was stolen from a parked two-wheeler in broad daylight in the Atre Layout area of the city. The entire act was captured on CCTV, helping police trace the accused.

The victim, Saurabh Aher, had left for Wardha district for work but unknowingly forgot his bag hanging on his two-wheeler outside his house. Within minutes, a man took advantage of the situation and fled with the bag.
CCTV footage clearly shows the accused approaching the vehicle, checking his surroundings, and swiftly removing the black bag before escaping on his own two-wheeler.
After a complaint was lodged, police initiated a prompt investigation and arrested the accused, identified as Antariksh Chandrikapure. The stolen bag was recovered from his possession.
Police recovered a 32-gram gold mangalsutra worth around ₹2.6 lakh, ₹17,000 in cash, and an Apple charger. The total value of the recovered items is estimated at ₹3.19 lakh.
Police have urged citizens to stay vigilant and avoid leaving valuables unattended in vehicles.
