Nagpur: In a late-night crackdown, Nagpur Crime Branch teams raided an illegally operated dance bar, Shivshakti Bar, in the Kalamna area during the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday.
The raid led to the rescue of three women, including one from West Bengal. Police arrested the main accused, Pappu Yadav, along with his son Deep Yadav, who were allegedly running the establishment.
Officials confirmed that the rescued women have been shifted to a shelter home. A case has been registered, and investigations are ongoing to trace others involved in the illegal operations.
Authorities added that such raids would continue as part of ongoing efforts to crack down on illegal bars and human trafficking in the city.
