On Sunday, May 26, at 6:00 am, a cricket match was held among police officers at the Police Headquarters Ground. Senior Police Inspectors, Assistant Commissioners of Police, Deputy Commissioners of Police, and other high-ranking officers participated in the match. Two teams were formed: Team “A” and Team “B.”

The captain of Team “A” was Commissioner of Police Dr. Ravinder Singal, while the captain of Team “B” was Deputy Commissioner of Police (Detection) Nimit Goel. Team “A” won the toss and elected to bat first, scoring 95 runs in 12 overs. In response, Team “B” scored 75 runs. Team “A” emerged victorious by 20 runs. Deputy Commissioner of Police Niketan Kadam was named Player of the Match for taking 6 wickets.

Several police officers were present for this match, including Deputy Commissioners of Police Niketan Kadam, Gorakh Bhamre, Anurag Jain, Arjit Chandak, Rahul Madne, Dr. Ashwini Patil, Shashikant Satav, Vijaykant Sagar, Assistant Commissioners of Police Nayan Alurkar, Sudhir Nandanwar, and other senior police inspectors.

After the match, Commissioner of Police Dr. Singal remarked, “Everyone played very well. Despite the summer heat and the ongoing ‘Nautapa’ period in Nagpur, we were concerned about the weather, but when the mind is clear, everything falls into place. We all enjoyed the cricket match immensely, which was the main objective of organizing it,” the Top Cop said.

“Being in the police department means dealing with stress. Many officers were busy late into the night, but they still got up early to come to the ground. Police officers have to perform all their duties. The atmosphere was excellent. We will continue to organize such matches and stay healthy,” promised the CP.

This initiative is being appreciated for promoting physical and mental well-being amid the hustle and bustle of life.
