Nagpur: The Nagpur police have launched a probe into 150 images and clips found in the recently recovered mobile phone and laptop of the slain BJP leader Sana alias Heena Khan.

According to police sources, the images and clips are related to various persons who are residents of Nagpur, Jabalpur, Chhattisgarh, Bhopal, Haryana and even Uttar Pradesh. Now, the police are investigating why the images and clips were stored in the digital gadgets.

The police sources further said that prime accused Pappu alias Amit Sahu had handed over the mobile phone of Sana Khan to Dhirendra Yadav who delivered the phone to his close aide Kamlesh Patel, a resident of Jabalpur. Patel had reportedly kept the phone and laptop at Sahu’s residence near his Dhaba in Jabalpur. Cops said that Pappu Sahu was using Sana Khan, for honey trapping his targets. The sextortion racket was operating for the past three years and the gang amassed huge wealth through the racket.

A separate FIR was registered by Nagpur police in this regard. Investigation revealed that the gang had reportedly extorted Rs 10 lakh from a professor of a law college in Seoni. Similarly, a person from Varanasi was also a victim of the gang. While over four dozen persons from Nagpur were targeted by the gang and they had to shell out lakhs of rupees to the gang members. Sana was killed on August 2 last year after a confrontation with her partner turned-foe, Pappu Sahu.

The relationship between the two had reportedly soured, with Pappu suspecting Sana’s fidelity. The situation escalated on August 1 during a video call between Sana and Amit. Following the altercation, Sana travelled to Jabalpur on August 2 and entered Pappu’s residence, where a violent confrontation ensued, resulting in her murder.
