Nagpur coolest in Vidarbha as mercury hits 13.4 degree Celsius mark on Nov 1

Nagpur: With mercury hitting 13.4 degree Celsius mark, Nagpur on Monday experienced the coldest day in Vidarbha. The temperature in Vidarbha has started dropping with every passing day. Nagpur city, on Monday, recorded the second lowest minimum temperature in Maharashtra as well as lowest of the season with 13.4 degree Celsius.

Jalgaon in the State recorded the lowest temperature with 12.2 degree Celsius. Whereas, other parts of Vidarbha including Yavatmal (14.1 degree Celsius), Amravati (14.1 degree Celsius), Gondia (14.4 degree Celsius) and Wardha (14.8 degree Celsius) recorded the minimum temperature below 15 degree Celsius on Monday. Akola and Buldana were also listed in top ten coolest cities in Maharashtra on the day.

According to Skymet Weather, the belt of minimum temperatures will gradually shift from extreme north to Central India including Vidarbha. Currently, a very feeble Western disturbance is over the Western Himalayan region and the system is expected to cause an effect over the hills and the foothills of North India. The system will cause a change in wind pattern, and they may shift the anticyclone a little south of its normal position, stated Skymet Weather.

The maximum temperature all over Vidarbha was recorded around 32 degree Celsius on Monday. Buldana recorded the lowest maximum temperature of 30.0 degree Celsius and Gondia also recorded 30.8 degree Celsius.
