Nagpur: A commotion ensued near the Mandwa Vasti area under the jurisdiction of Yashodhara Nagar Police Station when a mutilated body of an unidentified person was found near the railway tracks. Police arrived at the scene, conducted a preliminary investigation, and sent the body for post-mortem examination. Authorities suspect that the body was dumped there after the person was murdered.
On Monday morning, around 8 a.m., the police control room received information about a body lying near the railway tracks close to Mandwa Vasti. Following this, a team from Yashodhara Nagar Police Station reached the spot with reinforcements. They discovered the mutilated body and immediately sent it for post-mortem while commencing further investigation.

The identity of the deceased has not yet been determined. It is estimated that the person was between 30 and 35 years old. The presence of a piece of rope around the neck and multiple injuries on the body suggests foul play, leading to suspicions of murder. The body is believed to be 3 to 4 days old.
Yashodhara Nagar Police are gathering information on individuals reported missing from the city and nearby areas in recent days to help solve the mystery of the deceased’s identity.
