Multi-purpose Counselling Centre for Women set up in Kalmeshwar Police Station

In a significant move on the part of Dr Arti Singh, Superintendent of Police, Nagpur (Rural), a Counselling Centre for Women was set up in Kalmeshwar Police Station.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Arti Singh said, “Couselling is necessary for making women adept about legal knowledge and for curbing their mental, physical as well as sexual exploitation. Couselling is also necessary for keeping them away from family disputes. Providing knowledge on legal matters, information on their rights is necessary for curbing misuse of Section 498(A) of the law and delivering justice to the victims. This can be done through an effective counseling,” said the Superintendent of Police, Nagpur (Rural) and added that the setting up of Counselling Centre for Women in Kalmeshwar Police Station is the step in this direction.

Others who were present on the occasion include Police Patils, Sub-Divisional Police Officer N D Atram, Police Inspector S Sapkal, Assistant Police Inspector Anamika Mirzapure of Women’s Complaints Redressal Cell, members of Mahila Bachat Gats and others in large number.
