Nagpur News : With summer heat casting its spell on Nagpurians, the consumption of power has increased drastically in every area. Thus, MSEDCL has again a tough task of meeting the demand of high power. However, MSEDCL has set a new record by meeting the demand of 17,020 MW power and supplying 16,194 MW electricity as against the demand.

MSEDCL, through a press release, informed that a demand of 17,020 MW power generation was met by supplying 16,194 MW by the MSEDCL. The press release also mentions that similar demand was made on April 8, this year for which MSEDCL successfully supplied power of 16,000 MW.

MSEDCL has been fighting to meet the ever increasing power demand and has been successful in generating more than 15,500 MW for past few months. It must be noted that, load-shedding and power cut were most common in summer, however, with zero-load shedding promise, MSEDCL has been working day in and day out to meet the power demands.

Chief Public Relation Officer, in the press released, said that load-shedding problem has been solved from Nagpur city and the areas which had failed to clear their bills are only under the effect of power cut. Load-shedding is done only in these 15% areas and Government is suffering a power loss more than 42% in the civil areas under these 15% areas and more than 45% loss in other areas.
