MSEDCL provides power to 68,950 households in 2021-22 in Nagpur Circle

Nagpur: MSEDCL’s Nagpur Circle, which connects development and prosperity through lighting, has provided electricity to 68,950 households in the year 2021-2022. Compared to 2020-21, the number of people getting electricity connection has increased by 11, 317 in 2021-22. During the last one year, new electricity connections were provided to 4520 Scheduled Caste and 1535 Scheduled Tribe customers.

The highest number of electricity connections were provided to 36,329 customers under Nagpur City Circle. In Nagpur Rural Division, 21392 new connections were provided. In Wardha district, 11,229 new customers were connected. This includes 4520 Scheduled Castes, 1535 Scheduled Tribes, 22,179 Other Backward Classes and 40,716 Open Class customers.

In the year 2021-22, the number of customers getting new electricity connections has increased by 11,317. The highest number is 9253 in Congress Nagar Division, 8204 in Mahal Division, 7771 in Mouda Division, 7482 in Civil Lines Division, 6201 in Butibori Division and 5186 in Gandhibagh Division and 5076 in Wardha Division.

Applications for new electricity connections and change of customer’s name are being accepted online only from November 1, 2018. Customers have been provided the facility to apply online through MSEDCL’s mobile app and website www.mahadiscom.in. MSEDCL has appealed to the customers to avail this service.
