MSEDCL launched new toll free number 1912 for consumers

Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL) has now launched a new toll free number 1912 for consumers apart from the existing toll free numbers 18002333435/18002003435 for lodging their various complaints.

MSEDCL has also launched four mobile applications for its 2.40 crore consumers of different categories as well as its employees.

With ‘Mahavitaran App,’ the consumers can avail various facilities such as bill payment, registering consumer queries and complaints to call centres through mobile phones. Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card and also Mobile Wallet, Cash Card can be used by consumers for paying power bills. Multiple connections can be handled by one username. This mobile application enables the consumers to view and pay their electricity bill on their mobile phone by entering their credit card number or by using net banking. Apart from this, the consumers can also register their complaints on mobile phones through this application and will receive complaint acknowledgement with Service Request ID through SMS. The user has to register on this app only once. The user can download the app from www.mahadiscom.in or from the ‘Google Play Store’.

MSEDCL Mobile App aims in improving Consumers Services by providing basic required features for MSEDCL consumers on their fingertips.

Functionalities covered in Mobile App:
Consumer Registration
Using this option, consumer can register for MSEDCL WSS.

View/Pay Bill:
1) Consumer can view the latest bill and pay bill using this option.
2) For payment two options are available: Credit/Debit Card and Net-banking.
3) Consumer will receive Payment Confirmation SMS on the mobile number provided at the time of Bill Payment.

Register Complaint:
Consumer can register the complaint/service-request using this option. After successful complaint registration Service Request ID will be displayed for future reference.

Complaint Status :
The status of the complaints registered previously from the same device can be known.

Customer Care:
Consumer can directly dial any of the two toll-free numbers to call MSEDCL Customer Care Centre.

Feedback:
Consumer can provide feedback/ suggestion in case of any query/ suggestion regarding mobile app using Feedback option.

Bill Receipts:
Receipts of the bill paid will be displayed.
