MP travel co dupes 24 persons of city to the tune of Rs 22.70 lakh over foreign tour

Nagpur: A private travel company of Madhya Pradesh duped 24 persons from Nagpur to the tune of Rs 22.70 lakh in the name taking them to the tour of Switzerland, Germany and Paris. The tour company neither took the 24 persons on the foreign tour nor returned their money. Two key operators of the travel company have been booked in this connection.

According to police, the two accused Vivek Shahu and Nikhil Gupta, both residents of 111, Anmol Sagar Darshan, New Plaza, Indore (MP), who run the travel company named MSNTH Tours and Travels Indore, asked the complainant Vinod Narottam Singh Verma (49), resident of Plot No. 572, E/1, Mahatma Gandhi Nagar, Seminary Hills, Nagpur and 23 other members of Vidarbha Computer and Media Dealers’ Welfare Association to deposit Rs 22,70,000 in Bank of India, Dharampeth Branch, towards tour charges for a trip to Switzerland, Germany and Paris. However, the 24 persons were not taken to the foreign tour nor their money returned in a well-planned conspiracy.

Ambazari API S S Surose, acting on the complaint filed by Vinod, has registered a case under Sections 420, 34 of IPC against the accused Vivek Shahu and Nikhil Gupta and investigating the matter further.
