Nagpur:
In an incident that could embarrass Madhya Pradesh Government, the son-in-law of Agriculture Minister Gaurishankar Bisen has reportedly been arrested by Nagpur GRP on the charges of creating ruckus while travelling in A-1 coach of Chhattisgarh Express under the influence of liquor. Before his arrest, the “drunken” son-in-law of the Minister was thrashed by women passengers with chappals for misbehaving with them, it is learnt.

The accused Dr Chandrashekhar Pardhi on Wednesday boarded the Chhattisgarh Express from Habibganj and was going to Gondia in A-1 coach. In the coach, he allegedly enjoyed a glass or two of liquor and under the influence of the heady stuff, frequently posed himself as son-in-law of MP Agriculture Minister Gaurishankar Bisen. The accused Dr Pardhi reportedly created ruckus in the coach all through the night. When other passengers tried to prevail upon the ‘drunken’ son-in-law, he threatened them with dire consequences as “he was kin of the minister.’

According to sources, the situation came to heady pass when the women passengers, fed up with the misbehaviour of the accused, thrashed him with chappals. The “tortured” passengers later alerted the GRP at Nagpur about the “disturbing VIP passenger.” Acting on the alert, the GRP men forced the accused Dr Chandrashekhar Pardhi disembark the train and took him into custody at about 3.15 am. However, he was released on bail at 4 am,

It was confirmed that the accused is really son-in-law of the MP Minister, sources said.
