Nagpur: Under the jurisdiction of Parsheoni police station, a tragic road accident with head on collision between a truck and a jeep occurred  on Chhindwara-Nagpur road, at 6.30 am on Sept 3, in which mother and son died on the spot while 11 on board were injured. The deceased are identified as Bharti Kishor Prajapati, 25, and her son Vinayak Kishor Prajapati, a year old, both residents of Deogarh (Chhindwara, MP). Some of the injured were rushed to Parsheoni hospital while remaining were rushed to IGMCH and GMCH where they are under treatment.

It is said that the members of Prajapati family of Deogarh (Chhindwara) were travelling by a Commander Jeep and carrying the ashes of one of the family members for immersion at Ambala tank in Ramtek. Unfortunately the jeep made a head on collision with a truck, under the jurisdiction of Parsheoni police station. Immediately upon being informed, the Parsheoni police rushed to the spot.

According to sources,  both deceased and other members of Prajapati family, namely, Ashok, Payal, Rupmani, Karina, Balram, Neha, Ganesh, Suman, Munna and Kishor on board of a Commander Jeep No. MP-28/ A- 1183 were travelling from Chhindwara to Nagpur for immersion of ashes of one of their family members at Ambala tank (Ramtek). At about 6.30 am the jeep made a head on collision with a truck No. CG 04/ DA- 9657 at Parsheoni. The impact was such that the mother and one-year old son died on the spot while remaining were seriously injured. The accident resulted in disruption of traffic on road, but Parsheoni police cleared it.
