Mortal remains of 3 Army jawans martyred in J&K avalanche may reach Nagpur on Jan 31

Mortal remains of three soldiers – two from Akola and one from Akola – who were among the 15 Army personnel killed in avalanches in Jammu and Kashmir’s Gurez sector, are likely to reach at Air Force Station, Sonegaon in Nagpur in the evening of Tuesday (January 31) subject to aircraft from Srinagar reaching Delhi. The bodies of the three martyrs later would be taken to their respective native places.

Sepoys Anand Gawai and Sanju Suresh Khandare belong to Akola, while Sepoy Vikas Samundare hailed from Beed district of Maharashtra.

All the jawans were in their 20s. Gawai and Samundare were unmarried, said a release issued by Army.
