‘Seher Hone Tak…’ a celebration of Urdu poetry by women is set to treat connoisseurs in a Mushaira style (a symposium) musical programme. The show will be a blend of various performances of Shayari, Ghazal and Kathak to render the narration of Urdu poetesses through History. The Creator and Director of ‘Seher Hone Tak…’ Neerja Apte says “Everyone knows about Mir and Ghalib. But women have been writing Nazms and Ghazals since long but went unnoticed. The voices of these poetesses have not reached people when in fact their poetry remains relevant even today. So Team Seher decided to create a platform to focus on the poetesses of Urdu literature and also highlight those neglected works and verses in the show.”

Neerja Apte herself will read out Nazms written by Urdu poetesses including Zebunnisa, Parveen Shakir, Anjum Rahbar, Fahmida Riaz, Kishwar Naheed, Amrita Pritam and Monika Singh.

Well known Kathak artist Aboli Thatte will render Kathak performance along with the Shayaris.

Hindustani Classical Vocalist Gayatri Dhavale will render Ghazals in her melodious voice.

‘Seher Hone Tak’ will be performed in Nagpur on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at 7 pm at Tamarind, Chitnavis Centre, in city.
