Nagpur: The activists of Raj Thackeray-led Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) were in action, on a different note. The activists, led by City Unit Vice President Prashant Pawar, served hot breakfast and food to hundreds of policemen deployed for bandobast duty on the occasion of Ganesh ‘visarjan’ (immersion).
The MNS activists hopped from one place to another and invited the cops to their pandal erected specially for serving breakfast and food. According to MNS, around 1300 policemen ‘enjoyed’ the gesture of the party and appreciated, too.
The event was attended by MNS Regional General Secretary Hemant Gadkari. Those who worked hard in feeding the cops include Mahesh Joshi, Sushrut Kher, Iqbal Rizvi, Nitin Kite, Ishwar Bhoyar, Chandu Lade, Vishal Badge, Umesh Borkar, Prashant Bobde, Manisha Papadkar, Sangita Sontakke, and others.
