‘Missing Melava’ gets good response at Butibori Police Stn

photo date 11-09-2015Nagpur: ‘Missing Melava’ held on Thursday at Butibori Police Station under the guidance of Nagpur Rural SP Dr Arati Singh received a good response of citizens.

It was a Melava of missing children (boys and girls), individuals and those caught in crimes including murder, unidentified dead bodies with display of their photographs for identification by the people gathered in the Melava.

It was so a successful event that as many as 95 missing individuals could be identified under Police station Butibori; similarly 32 individuals under Police station Hingna and 15 missing persons under Police station Bela were also identified.

More details of identification of missing persons, so far, are as follows:

Ramtek division–3, Umrer–3, Saoner–29, Katol–38, Kamptee-88 and Nagpur–142.

photo 2 date 11-09-2015By Mahila Takrar Nivaran Kendra as many as 25 ration cards of unidentified dead persons were displayed, of which only one dead could be identified. Uptil now, Missing Melavas have been organised in 6 divisions, and as many as 307 missing persons have been traced out.

Prominently present on the occasion included SDPO Shital Wanjari, Butibori PI Bharat Thakre, Hingna PI Wandile, Bela PI Ashok Deotale, Mahila Takrar Nivaran Kendra chief Anamika Mirzapure and a host of police personnel and citizens.
