Nagpur: In a shocking incident, the body of a missing machinery spare parts businessman was found in a deserted area of Wadi, sending shockwaves across the city. The deceased has been identified as 44-year-old Suchit Bhojapure.
According to police, Bhojapure had been missing since Friday night, following which his family lodged a missing complaint at Wadi Police Station. On Saturday morning, locals spotted a naked body in bushes along Khadgaon Road in the Lava area and alerted authorities.
Police rushed to the spot and began an investigation. The body was found completely unclothed, with no personal belongings or vehicle at the scene, making identification difficult initially. Later, based on missing complaints, the family confirmed the identity. The scene turned emotional as his wife and two daughters broke down upon seeing the body.
Preliminary examination revealed injury marks on the victim’s head, suggesting he was attacked with a heavy object. Police suspect it to be a premeditated murder rather than an accident.
The victim’s father has also alleged foul play and lodged a formal complaint, demanding strict action.
Wadi Police have launched a detailed investigation, and a dog squad was deployed to gather evidence from the spot. The incident has created panic among local residents and the business community in Nagpur.
