Lakhadganj Police rescue girls: three accused women held

Nagpur: Some unscrupulous people go to any lengths to earn money through nefarious means. In one such incident that came to fore, some minor girls were forced into prostitution by some unscrupulous elements. These minor girls were allegedly bought or purchased from somewhere else and forced into prostitution in the brothels of Ganga Jamuna Red Light area. Three women have been booked for their involvement in this crime.

According to police sources, the accused women identified as Foola Dhanawat, Tarana Kasiya, Munnibai Kalkhor all residents of the building owned by Munnibai in Ganga Jamuna area used to purchase minor girls from some other place and forced them into the flesh trade. These minor girls were not even allowed to go outside the building. They are practically imprisoned within the building.

As soon as the Lakhadganj Police came to know about the minor girls being imprisoned and forced into prostitution, they raided the premises and rescued these minor girls.

The Lakhadganj Police has registered a case under sections 344, 366 (A), 372, 373, and sub-section 3,4,5,6 and 7 of Immoral Traffic Prevention Act, 1986.
